University Program Information

The University of Patras offers various programs for students, including undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as research opportunities.

Academic Programs

• School of Science: Includes departments such as Biology, Geology, Materials Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Polytechnic School: Comprises departments like Architectural Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics, Mechanical and Aeronautics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
• School of Health Sciences: Encompasses departments including Medicine and Pharmacy.
• School of Humanities and Social Sciences: Includes departments such as Education and Social Work, Educational Sciences and Early Childhood Education, Theatre Studies, History-Archaeology, Philology, and Philosophy.
• School of Economics and Management: Comprises departments like Business Administration, Tourism Management, Management Science and Technology, Economics, and Geography.

• Doctoral Studies: Offered by several departments, with options for industrial doctoral studies and co-supervisions.

Erasmus+ Program

Mobility for Traineeships

• Eligibility: Open to students of all study cycles for gaining work experience in enterprises, research centers, industries, hospitals, schools, and other organizations in EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and partner countries outside the EU.
• Duration: Can be short-term (5 to 30 days with physical presence, accompanied by virtual activity from Greece before the physical mobility) or long-term (2 to 3 months).
• Application: Submitted electronically within a specific time frame following a relevant announcement by the International Relations Department.
• Required Documents:
  • Curriculum Vitae (in Greek)
  • Recent certificate of student status with detailed grading (uploaded to the student's digital profile after the application deadline)
  • Language proficiency certificates (not certified)
  • 2 letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a member of the University of Patras academic staff, submitted online
  • Letter of Acceptance from the host organization
• Evaluation: Based on an interview with the Erasmus+ coordinator or committee, evaluation of applications by coordinators, and final distribution of positions by the Erasmus+ Committee of the University of Patras.
• Pre-Mobility: Selected students complete the OLS test, submit a mobility agreement for traineeships, learning agreement, bank account number, European Health Insurance Card, and private insurance for civil liability and personal accident.
• Post-Mobility: Students complete the second OLS test, submit a learning agreement after mobility, online report, travel documents, and proof of stay expenses within a month after the traineeship ends.
• Grant: 80% of the grant is deposited into the student's bank account within the first month of the traineeship, and the remaining 20% after its completion.
• Students with Fewer Opportunities: Eligible for a supplement; details are provided in a PDF file.
• Certificate of Participation: Issued upon successful completion of the traineeship, accompanied by an evaluation from the host organization and a certificate for the recognition of the traineeship by the Department's Secretariat.
